2008-09-26 Inaugural 2-year USD benchmark
EUROFIMA has successfully launched a 3.25% USD 1bn benchmark bond due 15 November 2010, pricing at 123.25bps over UST 2% September 2010 (mid swaps -25 bps). Joint bookrunners were Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Merrill Lynch.
This is Eurofima first 2-year benchmark transaction and for the first time, it has launched two USD benchmarks in the same year. It further completes EUROFIMA USD curve with now outstanding benchmarks maturing from 2010 to 2017.
The geographical distribution was: America 51%, Europe 31%, Middle East 15%, Asia 3%. Distribution by investor type: Central Banks 79%, Fund Managers 11%, Corporates 6% , Ins/Pen funds 2%, Banks 2%.
